Our Next Leap of Faith

Fourteen years ago, Riverbend Church began with a major leap of faith. Since then, we have witnessed God’s incredible faithfulness as our church has experienced record growth. Today, we stand at a new historical milestone. More people than ever before are walking through our doors, dedicating their lives to Christ, and experiencing true transformation.

However, our current facilities are becoming more of a hurdle than a tool for the harvest. To keep pace with what God is doing, we are embarking on a comprehensive interior remodel of our facility. This isn’t just about a building project. It is about ensuring our families, our neighbors, and our community always have a seat to experience Jesus!

Our Plan to Make Room

  • Expand the Sanctuary to Add 130+ More Seats

  • Relocate the Main Building Lobby

  • Revamp the Cove with Nursery and Updated Security Features

  • Add More Office Space

    Total Estimated Cost: $1.4 Million

The Breakdown of Our Funds

We are committed to completing this $1.4 Million project debt free. While we currently have $2 million in our accounts, we believe that there is wisdom to meet our immediate needs while also keeping Riverbend strong and ready for the future.

Our current reserves are designated into three specific areas:

  • $600,000 | Six-Month Contingency Fund: This is an untouchable reserve that secures the long-term health and stability of our church.

  • $900,000 | Building Fund: Resources already set aside specifically for this facility expansion.

  • $500,000 | Ministry Fund: Local & Global Outreach, Mortgage Reduction, Future Anticipated Needs.

The $500,000 Stewardship Goal

Because the total project cost is $1.4 million, we are raising $500,000 to bridge the gap between our current Building Fund and the final cost. By reaching this goal together, we complete the project without depleting our Ministry Fund. This ensures we remain fully equipped for:

  1. Maintaining Ministry Flexibility: Keeping our resources ready for new local and global ministry opportunities as they arise.

  2. A Commitment to Debt Freedom: Positioning our church to make a significant dent in our $1 million mortgage principal.

  3. Addressing Future Needs: Providing the margin necessary for future projected needs.
