21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

As we corporately seek the Lord with prayer and fasting, our theme this year is “Ready.” We are trusting God to move in a mighty way and we simply want to be ready. Just as planting a garden takes preparing the soil, we plan to use these weeks ahead in prayer and fasting to prepare our hearts for what God has for our lives, our families, and for Riverbend Church this year.

We believe these three weeks of consecration and reflection will radically change us forever and prepare us to partner with the Spirit of God for a global awakening! Weekly Focus – January 5th-11th

• Personal repentance of sin and revival in my heart.

• Consecration for a renewed life of prayer and fasting.

• Commitment to reading the Word of God and engaging in daily worship.

• A deeper faith and growing friendship with Jesus.

Weekly Focus - January 12th-18th

• Personal strength and confidence rooted in God rather than circumstances.

• Greater sensitivity to hear and discern the voice of the Holy Spirit.

• Growing confidence in God as our provider and stewarding well what He entrusts to us.

• Unity, endurance, and wisdom for our leaders, teams, and church family.

Weekly Focus - January 19th-25th

• Riverbend’s building expansion to increase our capacity to reach people with the gospel.

• The power of the gospel to spread in our community, our nation, and around the world.

• Loved ones to encounter the love of Jesus and surrender their lives to Him.

• Strength, provision, and fruitfulness for our supported missionaries.

• God’s wisdom and strategy for reaching our adopted, unreached people group, the Ha Nhi Tribe in Vietnam.
